Traditional Breakfasts

Sometimes out breakfasts are quite ordinary and more traditional. Yesterday, for instance, we had scrambled eggs, veggie sausages and whole wheat sourdough toast with butter and guava jam.


 

This morning I made whole wheat pancakes. I used:

1/4 cup whole wheat sourdough starter

1 egg

3/4 cup milk

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons coconut sugar

1/2 cup whole wheat flour


We enjoyed these pancakes topped with butter, maple syrup and hot mango / applesauce.
