Cheraw State Park in South Carolina is a pleasant place to visit. We have been walking there a couple of times.
The site of the old Landsford Canal is an interesting place to walk.
One of our favorite places to go is 40 Acre Rock.

Anywhere we go walking I always keep an eye out for papaw trees. We saw many of them today but only saw one that had young developing fruit on it.
Parts of our walk took us by an overgrown beaver pond and open cultivated land within the preserve. We didn’t see another person the entire time we were out there today. Nice.
