    1. Pawpaws (not to be confused with papayas, which are also called pawpaws in some parts of the world) have a tropical flavor some people compare to bananas. To me it tastes more like cherimoya or custard apple, but really, it has its own flavor. We usually scoop out the flesh with a spoon and eat it, spitting out the seeds. But this year I used almost all of them making the sorbet.
