  1. I haven’t quite gotten the hang of roasting veggies. They always seem to be limp. Haven’t tried them in the Cuisinart Oven Central yet, though.

    How did you get your quinoa to stick together? I always do mine in a vacuum bottle, which gives a nice, fluffy consistency to quinoa and bulgur, which we had last night, with no cooking needed.

    1. I cook quinoa like I do rice at low temp with a lid and without stirring. It fluffs up nicely with a fork when done. The grains stuck together because I packed them tightly into an oiled ramekin.

      I usually end up over charring roasted vegetable by not watching closely enough. If I was to do them in Oven Central I would consider propping the top open a crack to let out steam, at least for the last part of cooking.

      1. The quinoa and bulgur are perfect in the Thermos – very fluffy. Brown rice does well, and barley – but white rice … I’ve never been able to coax it to behave in there. Does well in Zo rice cooker, but I prefer stovetop method.
