Fruit Salad With Chile Glazed Pecans

It is no secret that I like a little heat. I even like a little pinch of cayenne (and a pinch of pink salt) in my coffee. It’s not just savory heat that appeals to my taste buds, sweet heat is pretty cool too.

My recent endeavors making candied chili peppers yielded the byproduct of a very tasty syrup.

I used some of that sweet hot syrup to glaze a few pecans.

For a tasty fruit salad I used the grapes I purchased today, a couple McIntosh apples, chopped celery, glazed pecans, candied red Serrano chiles for a garnish and coleslaw dressing.
